Ohio man charged with DWAI after traffic stop in Lodi

Deputies arrested a man from Ohio after a traffic stop in the Town of Lodi led to a drug-impaired driving charge.

Shane Segler, 57, of Mentor, was pulled over around 4:30 p.m. on October 17 after deputies say he was speeding through a 30 mph zone on Route 414.

Following a roadside investigation, deputies took Segler into custody for driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. He was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, where a Drug Recognition Expert completed an evaluation.

Segler was also ticketed for speeding. He was released with an appearance ticket and is expected to return to Lodi Town Court at a later date.
