The New York State Fairgrounds will light up yellow on Oct. 7 to honor victims of the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, according to CNY Central. Governor Kathy Hochul also ordered flags at half-staff across the state.
Hochul said New York stands with Jewish communities and continues to pray for hostages and peace. More than a dozen landmarks statewide — including Niagara Falls, 1WTC, and Grand Central — will also be illuminated.
The tribute marks two years since the deadly attack.
