Deputies arrested a 23-year-old Naples man Wednesday night after pulling him over for speeding on Route 245 in Middlesex — and finding drugs and weapons in his car, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Dominick J. Abbott now faces several charges, including DWI, drug possession, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Deputies say they stopped Abbott around 7:13 p.m. and noticed signs of impairment. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed he had a blood alcohol content over 0.08%, was impaired by drugs, and was driving with a suspended license.
During the arrest, deputies also found multiple illegal weapons and controlled substances in the vehicle.
Abbott was taken to the Yates County Jail and held for arraignment in CAP court.
