South Bristol candidates gain cross-party support ahead of November election

A slate of Town Board candidates in South Bristol is drawing widespread support from both sides of the political aisle as the November 4 election approaches.

Citizens for South Bristol (C4SB) announced a growing list of endorsements for Lisa Moore for Town Supervisor and Chris Abraham and Jamie Hall for Town Board. The group’s “Everyday Endorsements” campaign is highlighting support from local residents, business leaders, and elected officials across party lines.

“I’ve seen these three listen to what the people of South Bristol have to say,” said outgoing board member Jim Strickland, a Democrat who’s served for 10 years. Strickland’s comments echo the bipartisan tone set during his work with retiring Republican Supervisor Dan Marshall, who has led the town for 23 years.

Republican resident Cathy Harris of Bristol Harbour Village also praised the slate’s focus: “When Lisa and her running mates say they want to help make things better for the town, party politics don’t matter.”

Supporters include John Ingle, owner of Heron Hill Winery, who called Moore “a responsible steward” and “the kind of person we need as Town Supervisor.” Regional leaders backing the team include Naples Mayor Brian Schenk and other officials from Naples, Canandaigua, and Geneva.
