Deputies arrested a man in Arcadia after a domestic dispute turned violent over the weekend.
Joseph F. Parsons III, 54, was taken into custody Saturday evening on State Route 88. Investigators say the arrest followed an incident the night before, during which Parsons allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck, making it difficult for her to breathe.
He was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and held for arraignment. The case will go before Arcadia Town Court at a later date.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
