Nearly a month after a massive fire destroyed the Eco Operations warehouse in Gorham, residents are still dealing with the fallout, according to RochesterFirst.com.
The fire contaminated Flint Creek, killing fish and prompting a state advisory to avoid the water. Locals who use the creek for farms and recreation are concerned. Officials say the owner, Eduard Zaydman, operated without permits and ignored multiple removal orders for hazardous materials before the fire.
The blaze took 19 hours to put out. No injuries were reported, but criminal charges are possible.
