Graffiti complaint in Marion leads to teen’s arrest

Deputies arrested a 19-year-old after a building in Marion was vandalized with more than 130 feet of spray paint.

Alan R. Anderson of Mill Street was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following an investigation into a complaint on North Main Street, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials say Anderson spray painted walls along the property, causing an estimated $800 in damage.

He was processed and released with an appearance ticket. He’s scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court on Sept. 24.
