State Police arrested two men in Horseheads after they allegedly tried to scam gift cards from a local Walmart.
Troopers say Christopher Causell of Hempstead and Tavares Vineyard of New Jersey were taken into custody on September 8 after an investigation at the Walmart Super Center.
Both men were charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. Troopers from SP Painted Post helped make the arrests. The suspects were processed at SP Horseheads and released with appearance tickets.
They’re due in Horseheads Town Court on September 30 at 7 p.m.
The investigation is still ongoing.
