Traffic stop leads to drug charge in Naples

Deputies say a woman was arrested Friday night after they found a suspected controlled substance during a traffic stop in the Village of Naples.

Jessica M. Monro, 34, of Dansville, was pulled over around 10:47 p.m. near 111 South Main Street, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

During the stop, deputies say they found a substance believed to be crack cocaine in Monro’s vehicle. She was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Monro was also issued a ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign. Deputies released her with an appearance ticket for Naples Town Court at a later date.
