A toddler and a woman were seriously hurt in a shooting on Rochester’s south side Wednesday afternoon, according to WHAM.
Police say the 2-year-old boy and 37-year-old woman were shot inside a home on Westmoreland Drive and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Neighbors, stunned by the violence on an otherwise quiet street, say the incident has shaken the community.
Investigators believe the shooting was targeted, not random. No arrests have been made, and police urge anyone with information to call 911 or Crime Stoppers.
