A man died Tuesday after a skid steer fell on him in the Town of Galen, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say John Thoms Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after first responders arrived.
Emergency crews responded around noon after receiving a report that the equipment had fallen on someone. Clyde Fire Department assisted with the extrication, and Wayne County EMS also responded.
Family members were notified, and Murphy’s Funeral Home removed Thoms from the scene.
