Main Street in Penn Yan will come alive with music, games, and animals on Saturday, Nov. 1, as the Downtown Fall Festival takes over from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The annual event, hosted by the Downtown Business Council of Penn Yan, promises a day packed with live music, craft vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly attractions — rain or shine.
Music, games, and more for all ages
This year’s festival adds two live bands to the mix — The Decades Band and Black Robin Band — performing at opposite ends of Main Street. Organizers are also introducing a beer tent on Water Street, open to attendees 21 and over with ID.
Visitors can expect returning favorites like horse rides, a petting zoo with alpacas and small farm animals, and the always-popular My Little Farm hayrides, which will run all day. Kids can get hands-on with “make and take” crafts, a bean bag scarecrow toss, and velcro darts. Meanwhile, older guests can compete in axe throwing, a hoop shoot, and a cornhole tournament.
Vendor tents and local connections
Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the festival and filled with arts and crafts vendors, nonprofit booths, and a wide selection of savory and sweet treats from food trucks.
The Downtown Business Council invites community members to help plan events like this one by joining their weekly meetings, held Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. at Keuka Candy Emporium.
