A Penn Yan man was taken into custody earlier this month after police say he violated the terms of his probation.
According to the Penn Yan Police Department, 41-year-old Christopher D. Shay was arrested on August 16 after officers served a warrant issued by Penn Yan Village Court the same day.
Police located Shay at his residence and arrested him without incident. He was processed at the police station and then transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) system.
The arrest was handled by Officer Hines.
