Seniors in Cayuga County will get a chance to connect with dozens of local resources at the 7th Annual Senior Resource Fair next month.
The free event happens Wednesday, September 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius. Registration for door prizes will be available at both the Savannah Bank entrance and the Food Court area.
The fair kicks off with a public hearing at 9 a.m., where the Cayuga County Office for the Aging will share updates on services and listen to suggestions. At 10 a.m., dietician Vicky Lounsbury will lead “Nutrition BINGO,” followed by a talk at 11 a.m. from Greg Olsen, Director of the New York State Office for the Aging.
More than 60 vendors will be on site offering information about Medicare, long-term care, cognitive screenings, and more. Attendees can also receive flu shots, vision checks, and general health screenings. Legal consultations will be provided by attorneys from Boyle & Anderson between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Transportation is available through the SCAT Van for those who call by September 17 at (315) 253-0996.
