A new Monopoly-style board game inspired by It’s a Wonderful Life is hitting store shelves just in time for the holidays.
The game—called It’s a Wonderful Life-opoly—features characters, quotes, and locations from the beloved 1946 film and will be available for purchase in mid-October.
The game comes from the same committee that organizes the annual It’s a Wonderful Life Festival in Seneca Falls, NY—a town many believe inspired the movie’s fictional Bedford Falls. Designed and produced in the U.S. by a company based in Ohio, the game invites players to relive scenes from the film while building property and trading locations.
Fans can expect to see familiar faces and places across the board, including George and Mary, Clarence the angel, Zuzu, the Bailey Building and Loan, and even the gymnasium floor that famously opens up into a pool.

Players will move through Bedford Falls collecting properties and improving them with “the prettiest little homes” and boarding houses. Game pieces and cards include dozens of memorable quotes from the film, encouraging players to act out lines as they play.
“This game is more than just a way to have fun with family and friends—it’s a celebration of a film that has touched the lives of people for generations,” said Haidee Oropallo, president of the festival committee.
The board game will be sold online through the festival’s website, at select retailers, and during this year’s It’s a Wonderful Life Festival, which runs December 12–14 in Seneca Falls.
