A Chemung County contractor is facing felony charges after allegedly taking thousands of dollars from homeowners for work he never completed, according to New York State Police.
Troopers in Horseheads arrested 28-year-old Bradley S. Baldwin of Elmira on August 22 following an investigation into multiple fraud complaints tied to home improvement projects.
Police say Baldwin accepted several thousand dollars from local residents for contracting jobs that were never started or finished. As a result, he was charged with:
- Grand Larceny 3rd (D felony)
- Scheme to Defraud 1st (E felony)
- Two counts of Grand Larceny 4th (E felony)
Baldwin was arraigned in Town of Veteran Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail on bail.
