Geneva officer resigns amid ongoing investigation

A Geneva police officer has stepped down just months after being placed on leave during a criminal probe, according to a Sunday release from Chief Ron Eveland.

Officer Nathan Jacon, who joined the department in December 2023, resigned after being suspended alongside Sgt. David Felice in May. Both remain under investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, but officials haven’t shared why.

The suspensions came two days after a separate officer was charged with drug-related crimes — though police said Jacon and Felice’s cases weren’t directly connected.
