Driver found asleep at McDonald’s faces felony drug charge

A driver was found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle in a McDonald’s parking lot in Lyons on Tuesday morning.

State troopers say they arrived at 7:44 a.m. to check on the suspicious vehicle and found two men sleeping inside. The engine was still running.

The driver, identified as Cory D. Myers, 31, of Victor, was evaluated at the scene and charged with felony DWAI-Drugs. The felony charge stems from a prior conviction within the last 10 years.

Myers was processed and taken to the Wayne County Jail for CAP Court. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Court.
