Supporters will hold a walk Thursday in Ovid to demand justice in the unsolved 1985 murder of college student Kristin O’Connell, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The walk marks 40 years since O’Connell, visiting from Minnesota, was killed after leaving a party. It starts at 6:15 p.m. and ends at the site where her body was found in a cornfield. Organizers are calling for full DNA testing and offering letter templates for contacting officials.
Participants are asked to bring candles. The event will be livestreamed for O’Connell’s family.
