Deputies say a woman set multiple fires inside and outside a Clifton Springs apartment building — and then started throwing flaming objects at them.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kiarra Robinson on August 12 for second-degree arson. Her arrest stems from a structure fire reported around 6:17 p.m. on August 4 at 3 Broad Street.
When deputies arrived, they say Robinson was actively setting items on fire outside the building. Another fire inside had already been put out by a resident. Deputies say Robinson then ran back into the apartment complex and lit more fires — including setting items on the stove and tossing burning objects at officers.

Deputies cleared the building and entered Robinson’s apartment, where they found several small fires still burning. She was taken into custody and brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
After her release, deputies charged Robinson and took her to the Ontario County Jail. She’ll appear in Manchester Town Court at a later date.
No one was hurt during the incident.
The Clifton Springs Fire Department responded to extinguish the fires. The Ontario County Fire Coordinators Office and Finger Lakes Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
