DiNolfo, Karle get more support in judge race

Republican leaders from eight counties have thrown their support behind Judge Kristina “Kitty” Karle and Attorney Joseph DiNolfo for New York State Supreme Court.

Delegates from Ontario, Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates counties gathered Monday in Rochester to unanimously nominate Karle and DiNolfo for two open seats in the 7th Judicial District.

Judge Karle, now in her seventh year on the Ontario County Court bench, has handled nearly 7,000 cases and currently oversees Family, Criminal, and Supreme Court matters, along with the Youth Part. She was the first woman ever elected to the Ontario County Court and, if elected in November, would become the first female State Supreme Court Justice from one of the district’s outlying counties.

Attorney DiNolfo brings over 30 years of legal experience, currently serving in the Appellate Division, 4th Department. A lifelong Monroe County resident, he’s also been a volunteer firefighter for two decades.

“It is an honor to stand with Judge Kristina ‘Kitty’ Karle and attorney Joe DiNolfo as our Republican nominees,” said Trisha Turner, Ontario County GOP Chair and Convention Chair. “Their experience, integrity, and dedication to justice make them an outstanding team for the bench.”

The nominations were made at the Republican Judicial District Convention, held at the Italian American Sports Club in Rochester.

Two State Supreme Court seats will appear on the ballot in the November 4 general election. Early voting begins October 25 and runs through November 2.
