A local community choir is calling on music lovers to help fill its ranks this fall.
The Canaltown Chorale will begin rehearsals Sept. 9 at the United Church of Marion, 3848 N. Main Street, Marion. Registration starts at 6:45 p.m., with rehearsal from 7 to 9 p.m. The right-side door will be open for entry.
Choral experience is helpful but not required. The group sings SATB arrangements and performs two major concert series each year — holiday shows in December and a themed program in May or June — along with appearances at community events.
