Emergency crews rushed to mile marker 304 on the eastbound Thruway in Cayuga County after a serious crash between a tractor trailer and a car Thursday afternoon.
The collision prompted a wide response from Weedsport, Port Byron, Jordan, Cimvac, and Auburn City Ambulance, according to the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire.
According to their updates, the tractor trailer went off the road, and command at the scene quickly requested Port Byron’s rescue team. A medevac was called shortly after, with LifeNet assigned to the scene. Mercy Flight was identified as a backup if a second medevac was needed.
