Deputies recover stolen guns in Salina break-ins

Two handguns stolen from out-of-town vehicles in Salina were recovered hours after the theft, and a Syracuse man is now facing felony charges, according to CNY Central.

Qasim Brown, 24, was arrested after deputies linked him to the Aug. 5 break-ins on 7th North Street. A revolver and 9mm handgun were found at his home, along with other stolen items.

The guns’ owners were legal permit holders, but their vehicles were unlocked and the weapons unsecured. Brown remains held at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
