An 18-year-old has admitted guilt in a deadly police chase that claimed the life of a 92-year-old Brighton volunteer, according to 13WHAM.
Theodice Parks pleaded guilty to first-degree assault after crashing a stolen car into Thomas Chase’s vehicle during a high-speed pursuit in August 2024. Chase, a longtime senior center volunteer, died from his injuries. Parks now faces 20 to 25 years in prison.
His brother, Theophilus Parks, and a third passenger have also pleaded guilty to related charges. The crash was the result of what prosecutors called reckless thrill-seeking, with Parks already on parole for burglary at the time.
