Tennessee woman stopped in South Bristol for driving with suspended license

A Maryville, Tennessee woman was charged Tuesday after deputies discovered she was driving with a suspended license during a traffic stop in South Bristol.

Elaine C. Hallancia, 43, was pulled over near the Woodville Boat Launch on State Route 21 at 3:57 p.m., according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Hallancia was the sole occupant of the vehicle. A roadside investigation determined her license had been suspended due to a conviction earlier this year in Tennessee.

She is expected to appear in South Bristol Town Court at a later date to answer to a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.
