A Geneva man was hospitalized Thursday morning after crashing his SUV into a vacant house in Hopewell.
Deputies charged 38-year-old Sequan Broadus with driving while ability impaired and criminal mischief following the 7:56 a.m. crash at 3194 Routes 5 and 20.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Broadus was found outside his gray 2021 Land Rover Range Rover in the yard of the home. No one was inside the residence at the time.
Broadus was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance for injuries from the crash. Deputies issued additional traffic tickets for tinted windows, failure to keep right, unreasonable speed, marijuana consumption in the vehicle, and not wearing a seatbelt.
The Hopewell Fire Department and Ontario County Code Enforcement assisted at the scene.
