A deadly shooting at a Wegmans warehouse in Gates has led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man now facing a murder charge, according to Gates Police.
Kyshonn Green is accused of fatally shooting 25-year-old J’Mere Ridley-Smith inside the facility Saturday afternoon before fleeing to Knoxville, Tennessee. Authorities say Green was arrested there Sunday night and will be extradited to face a second-degree murder charge.
Police have not identified a motive for the shooting. They confirmed the case is unrelated to last week’s fatal incident at the Amazon Fulfillment Center.
