A driver was arrested in the Village of Clyde after deputies say he was caught operating a vehicle under the influence with an expired inspection.
Timothy J. Furman, 41, of the Town of Galen, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated after a traffic stop conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on July 25.
According to deputies, Furman was pulled over for driving a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. During the stop, officers determined he was intoxicated and took him into custody. A breath sample later revealed a blood alcohol content of .17%.
Furman faces three charges: Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a BAC of .08 or more, and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.
Deputies M. Bastedo and M. King conducted the investigation. Furman was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and released. He is scheduled to appear in Galen Town Court at a later date.
