A Rochester man with three prior DWI convictions has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run on South Union Street, according to WROC. Police say Leonel Yas Pena, 24, struck and killed pedestrian Henry “Hank” Brown on June 14 while driving intoxicated, then fled the scene.
Brown, who lived nearby, was likely heading home when he was hit. Yas Pena turned himself in Thursday and faces charges including vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene, and multiple DWI-related offenses.
He remains in Monroe County Jail awaiting arraignment.
