A new natural products boutique is bringing handcrafted, locally made goods to the heart of Penn Yan. Judd’s Suds celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 10 at its new location at 5 E. Main Street.
Founded by Kelly Judd, the boutique offers a variety of natural personal care products including bath soaps, shampoo and conditioner bars, body butters, and lotion bars—all made with simple ingredients and a focus on family-friendly wellness.
“Judd’s Suds was born out of a desire to offer simple, wholesome products that families can trust,” Judd said. “We’re proud to be part of this amazing community and are excited to showcase not only our products, but also those of other local makers who share our values.”
The shop also features items from other small businesses across the Finger Lakes, reinforcing its mission to support the region’s growing network of artisans and entrepreneurs.
Jody Tyler, Director of Member Services at the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, praised the new addition to the downtown district. “We are thrilled to welcome Judd’s Suds to downtown Penn Yan,” Tyler said. “Kelly’s dedication to natural, sustainable living and her support for fellow small businesses makes Judd’s Suds admirable and easy to support.”
In addition to its brick-and-mortar store, Judd’s Suds products are available at the Windmill Farm & Craft Market on Saturdays and select holidays, online at juddssuds.com, and at various local farmers markets throughout the Finger Lakes. Updates and announcements can be found on their Facebook page.
