A fast-moving fire at a duplex on Perrine Street in Auburn forced two families from their homes Wednesday afternoon, according to first responders.
The blaze was reported around 4 p.m. and quickly knocked down by firefighters within 10 minutes.
The Auburn Fire Department responded along with city ambulance services, and no injuries were reported. Visible damage appeared on one side of the building, and the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced families.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
