The Buffalo Bills made several roster moves Tuesday as players reported for training camp at St. John Fisher University, including placing tight end Dawson Knox on the non-football injury (NFI) list.
Also sidelined are starting right tackle Spencer Brown and backup lineman Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, both placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. The team did not disclose details regarding the injuries, but all three players are eligible to return once they pass physicals. Head coach Sean McDermott is expected to address the situations before Wednesday’s opening practice.
In additional moves, rookie defensive end Landon Jackson was activated from the PUP list. Buffalo also signed wide receiver David White and tight end Matt Sokol, while releasing punter Jake Camarda and receiver Kelly Akharaiyi.
Sokol, who has played in eight NFL games with the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots, spent part of last season on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad.
Camarda’s release leaves Brad Robbins as the lone punter on the roster. The Bills are still seeking a replacement after cutting veteran Sam Martin earlier this offseason.
