Methamphetamine arrest follows traffic stop in Junius

A traffic stop in the Town of Junius led to the arrest of a Rochester man for criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested 36-year-old Rahmaan C. Muhammad around 3:30 a.m. on July 16. He was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after deputies found suspected methamphetamine during the stop on State Route 318.

Muhammad was processed at the scene and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Junius Court at a later date, the department said.
