A man has been arrested in connection with a Fourth of July weekend shooting in Elmira that left two people injured, according to WETM. Benjamin N. Green, who was already on parole, now faces multiple felony charges, including attempted murder.
The shooting occurred July 5 near Broadway and Mt. Zoar Streets. Following an investigation, police identified Green as the suspect and took him into custody on July 9. He was indicted the next day and arraigned in Chemung County Court on July 11.
Green remains in jail on $750,000 bail. Police urge anyone with additional information to contact the Elmira Police tip line.
