A Waterloo man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he violated a court order by repeatedly contacting a protected individual.
Matthew K. Northrop, 38, was taken into custody around 9:07 p.m. on July 9. According to the Waterloo Police Department, Northrop is accused of calling and texting the victim without any legitimate purpose, despite being subject to a Class A order of protection.
Northrop was charged with one count of Aggravated Family Offense and one count of Criminal Contempt in the First Degree. Authorities transported him to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
