A Rochester man is facing multiple charges after deputies found him in possession of a stolen vehicle, credit cards, and suspected cocaine early Saturday morning.
Matthew A. Belk, 35, was arrested at 5:59 a.m. on June 28 at the Candlewood Apartments on County Road 28 in Canandaigua. The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a suspicious person and later determined Belk was in possession of a stolen Ram 1500 van, two stolen credit cards, and a white rock-like substance believed to be cocaine.
Belk was charged with three counts of criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, and various traffic offenses.
He was taken to the Ontario County Jail for processing and will appear in CAP Court at a later date.
