A juvenile has been charged after a fight at the Shortsville Carnival left a security guard hospitalized with a broken jaw.
Friends of the injured man, Joe Pilozzi, created a GoFundMe to help cover medical expenses, as he has no health insurance and recently started a small business. Pilozzi, a single father and longtime EMT, was reportedly “sucker punched” while trying to break up the altercation. The fundraiser has raised $4,435 toward its $7,500 goal.
The sheriff’s office continues investigating and says more arrests may follow.
