Shutter joins SCOPED to boost business growth

Wendy Shutter has been appointed as the new Economic and Community Development Specialist for SCOPED, also known as FLX Gateway, according to the organization. She brings decades of leadership from both private and nonprofit sectors, most recently directing business services at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler.

In her new role, Shutter will oversee key economic projects, assist entrepreneurs, manage grants, and drive redevelopment efforts. She’ll also support programs like the Entrepreneurial Boot Camp and small business loans.

SCOPED leaders praised her background in food manufacturing and community impact, saying her experience will enhance regional infrastructure and attract new business partners.
