The Clyde Fire Department responded swiftly to a hay baler fire Wednesday evening, successfully containing the blaze before it could spread further.

According to a June 25 press release, crews from all three stations—Station 1 (Clyde), Station 2 (North Station), and Station 3 (Tyre)—were dispatched after reports of the machinery fire. Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly began extinguishing burning hay and checking the baler for internal fire extension or lingering hotspots.
Thanks to their coordinated efforts, the fire was brought under control shortly after arrival, and no injuries were reported. The department credited its members for their “great quick work” in returning the equipment and surrounding area to safety.
