A Bolivar woman has been indicted on ten charges, including attempted murder, for allegedly stabbing two New York State troopers during a violent arrest attempt, according to the Hornell Evening Tribune. Julia C. Groff, 31, faces serious accusations stemming from a May 17 incident in a gas station parking lot.
Troopers responded to a stolen vehicle report and approached Groff at a pump when she allegedly attacked, injuring both officers with a knife. One trooper fired his weapon but missed. Groff was arrested at the scene with only minor injuries.
She has remained jailed without bail and is representing herself in court. Her arraignment is scheduled for June 25 in Allegany County Court.
