Trumansburg’s Village Grove community officially opened its doors, offering affordable, sustainable housing for a diverse group of residents. The development is part of the larger Crescent Way project and includes 46 fully leased rental units designed with green features and inclusive design for seniors, families, veterans, and people with disabilities.
The project, led by Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services, blends environmental consciousness with community building. Village Grove is Tompkins County’s first multi-family housing to earn Passive House Certification. Several units are dedicated to vulnerable populations, including veterans and domestic violence survivors, supported by local and state services.
Future phases include for-sale homes and expanded child care facilities. Crescent Way also houses the new Trumansburg Community Nursery School, which has doubled enrollment and enhanced access to early education, reinforcing the area’s commitment to a thriving, inclusive community.
