Arcadia man jailed after violating protective order

A domestic incident in Arcadia led to the arrest of a 35-year-old man accused of threatening his partner and violating a court order.

Deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jared C. Desmith on June 22 at 5380 New York State Route 31. He was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree menacing, and second-degree harassment.

According to investigators, the charges followed a report that Desmith had threatened his significant other in direct violation of an active order of protection.

Desmith was transported to the Wayne County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
