A Farmington man was taken into custody Friday night after failing to appear in court for a DWI charge and related traffic violations, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested 59-year-old Shahn Winfield Shorey at his residence on Center Street at 9:07 p.m. The arrest was made on the strength of two bench warrants issued by the Farmington Town Court.
Shorey was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he was held to await arraignment in CAP Court. The warrants stemmed from Shorey’s missed court appearances in connection with a driving while intoxicated case and other vehicle and traffic offenses.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office led the investigation. No additional details were released.
