Firefighters from multiple departments battled a fully involved structure fire late Wednesday night on Parker Road in the Town of Palmyra.
The Palmyra Fire Department said it was dispatched around 10:46 p.m. along with East Palmyra and South Macedon fire departments after multiple callers reported the blaze. Upon arrival, Car 14-1 Chief Shulla confirmed a fully involved fire and immediately escalated the response.
With no hydrants in the area, a tanker task force was requested and foam was deployed by Marion Fire Department to coat the structure. Additional support came from Walworth, Lincoln, Marion, and several other departments across Wayne County.

The fire was brought under control by midnight, but heavy overhaul efforts continued until all units cleared the scene around 3:00 a.m.
Officials expressed gratitude to the mutual aid departments, tanker units, standby teams, and support agencies including Finger Lakes Ambulance, NY State Police, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
