The Tri-County YMCA is thriving, with new branches and expanded afterschool programs boosting its impact across Hornell, Dansville, and Bath, according to the Hornell Evening Tribune. Over 1,400 children joined youth programs in 2024, and the YMCA now partners with about a dozen school districts.

The organization more than doubled its workforce to 240 employees in three years, paying over $2 million in wages and benefits. Leaders credit growth in fitness classes, personal training, and community partnerships for steady membership and rising facility usage.

With market saturation high, the YMCA is focusing on quality programs and inclusivity, offering services from preschool to Parkinson’s support. Leaders say this growth is just the beginning.
