Victor girls lacrosse left no doubt in the Class B state semifinals, rolling past Section II’s Columbia 17-3 on Friday afternoon at SUNY Cortland to secure a spot in its fourth straight state championship game. The Blue Devils showcased their depth and experience from the opening whistle.
Morgan Livingston fueled the offense with three goals and three assists, while Allie Pisano and Julia Bruno each added three goals. Gianna Hedden chipped in a hat trick, and Maia Pronti facilitated the attack with four assists. Camryn Adrid (2 goals), Meaghan O’Brien (2 goals), Lila Kubrich (1 goal), and Quin Fitzsimmons (1 assist) rounded out a well-balanced offensive effort.
With one more win, Victor can become just the fourth girls’ lacrosse program in state history to capture four consecutive state titles. Standing in the way is a familiar powerhouse, Section VIII’s Garden City, which defeated Minisink Valley in the other semifinal. Saturday’s game is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
