An Auburn man has been charged following a reported sexual harassment incident that occurred while driving on Arterial West on June 3, according to a media release from the Auburn Police Department.
Kevin Ostrander was arrested on June 5 and charged with public display of offensive sexual material, a Class A misdemeanor. He was issued an order of protection and later released from Cayuga County Jail.
Police say a woman reported that while driving on Grant Avenue around 8:30 a.m., she noticed a tan 2014 Chevy Tahoe with tinted windows. The driver, identified as Ostrander, allegedly stared at her while stopped in traffic, prompting her to switch lanes to avoid him. Ostrander then matched her lane change, continued driving alongside her, and allegedly extended his arm out the window holding a cellphone displaying a sexually explicit image.
