ALDI launches summer price cuts on 400+ grocery items

How to save at Aldi using your phone

ALDI shoppers can expect major savings this summer as the grocery chain slashes prices on more than 400 items across all U.S. locations.

The discount grocer announced that starting June 5 and running through Labor Day, it will reduce prices on hundreds of seasonal essentials, projecting a nationwide savings of around $100 million for customers.

What’s included in ALDI’s summer price drop?

The seasonal price reductions span nearly every aisle, focusing on popular items frequently used in summer meals and snacks. A few highlighted markdowns include:

  • Clancy’s Chili Lime Potato Chips — now $1.79 (was $1.89)
  • Friendly Farms 2% Ultra-Filtered Milk — now $3.89 (was $4.39)
  • Millville Protein Pancake Mix — now $3.49 (was $3.79)
  • Mama Cozzi’s Mini Pizza Bagels — now $5.99 (was $6.29)
  • Summit Popz Prebiotic Soda — now $1.49 (was $1.59)

The initiative is part of ALDI’s ongoing effort to offer quality groceries at lower prices, especially during the summer when demand for food and drinks spikes.

“Value isn’t a trend at ALDI. It’s been in our DNA since we opened our first store nearly 50 years ago,” said Scott Patton, ALDI’s Chief Commercial Officer. “With price drops on the season’s most-loved products in every aisle, we want to do what we can to help shoppers enjoy more of summer.”

Expansion plans and ALDI’s New York footprint

In addition to the price cuts, ALDI continues to grow its presence across the U.S. with plans to open 225 new locations by the end of the year. New York is already home to 137 ALDI stores, with multiple options in the Rochester and Finger Lakes regions.

ALDI stores in the Rochester area include:

  • Fairport: 6687 Pittsford-Palmyra Road
  • Gates: 8 Spencerport Road
  • Greece: 3600 Mt. Read Blvd. and 714 Long Pond Road
  • Irondequoit: 2194 Hudson Ave. and 1733 East Ridge Road
  • Penfield: 2208 Penfield Road
  • Rochester: 175 North Winton Road, 400 Lake Ave., and 3170 Chili Ave., Suite T3
  • Brighton: 1925 South Clinton Ave.
  • Henrietta: 615 Jefferson Road
  • Webster: 915 Ridge Road

The price cuts mirror a similar summer savings initiative last year that also helped customers collectively save about $100 million, according to the company. In 2023, shoppers saved around $60 million during a comparable promotion.

What happens next?

ALDI’s summer pricing will continue through Labor Day (Monday, September 1, 2025). With grocery prices still a concern for many households, these cuts could offer much-needed relief as families plan cookouts, picnics, and summer celebrations.
