A Painted Post woman has been arrested following a State Police investigation into child sexual abuse materials.
Renea S. Haight, 31, was taken into custody on May 30 after a forensic analysis revealed she possessed files involving child exploitation. The investigation began after a Cyber Tipline report was submitted to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on December 23.
State Police seized an electronic device from Haight as part of the case. She was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age, a D felony. Haight was processed at SP Painted Post and taken to Steuben County Jail for arraignment.
